Korea-Indonesia MTCRC (Marine Technology Cooperation Research Center) is an intergovernmental joint research center in the field of Marine Science and Technology between Korea, represented by Korea InKIOST on behalf of MOF (Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries) and Indonesia that represented by ITB and CMMAI (Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment). Korea-Indonesia MTCRC was established on 14th September 2018 at the ITB Campus in Cirebon.
Our Purpose is to Strengthening and promoting practical cooperation in the field of marine science and technology between Korea and Indonesia, such as through joint research projects and capacity building programs.

Dr. PARK Hansan and Mrs. Ivonne Radjawane, Ph.D., Directors of Korea-Indonesia MTCRC, took center stage as invited speakers at the International Seminar on "Sustaining Our Blue Planet: Blue Carbon Solution for Climate Mitigation" held by the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Sam Ratulangi University, Manado.
2nd Survey for Large-Scale Seaweed Farming in Awang Bay Lombok

The kick-off meeting for the ODA Project was conducted by MTCRC and took place on the 4th floor of the CMMAI Building and was simultaneously held via Zoom. In attendance were key stakeholders, including CMMAI, BPPSDM-KPOn November 21st to 24th, 2023, MTCRC collaborated with CMMAI, Sea Six Energy Indonesia, BRIN, Mataram University, and Indonesian Conservation (KI) on a following seaweed farming survey in Awang Bay, Lombok.

Korea Invitational Training in Busan, Korea to Utilize the Potential of Korean Geostationary Satellites
13-18 November 2023
As part of the ODA Project titled "Establishment of Application System for Managing Indonesia’s Water Using Korea’s Geostationary Satellite," invitational training occurred in Busan and Seoul, South Korea. The training emphasized the utilization of Korean Geostationary Satellites for Indonesia's National Ocean Management.
Supporting the ITB River Excursion OS4071 Sea Water Quality Course
19 November 2023
On November 19, 2023 at the MTCRC Cirebon Center, 48 students from ITB visited MTCRC chemical laboratory as part of the ITB River Excursion OS4071 Sea Water Quality Course. The visit activities included an online classroom given from MTCRC researchers about an overview of Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) and sample handling.
Attending Blue Food Forum and Site Visiting to BRIN Research Center for Bio-Industry and Aquaculture Farming Area

MTCRC participated in the Blue Food Forum at Pullman Hotel Lombok, organized by Bappenas. As an intergovernmental agency in marine science and technology between Korea and Indonesia, MTCRC contributed a research perspective to achieve the goals of the blue food pillars.
