Sub-Bottom Profiler

Kongsberg Geopulse Compact

The Acoustic Sub-Bottom Profiling (SBP) system is used to determine the physical properties of the seabed and to describe and characterize geological information several meters below the seabed. Kongsberg GeoPulse Compact is an advanced SBP system. Depending on the purpose of the survey, the user can select a waveform in the frequency range of 1.5 – 18 kHz which optimizes resolution and underwater penetration.

Specification

Single Beam Echo Sounder

Kongsberg EA440

The Kongsberg EA440 is a unit set single beam echo sounder created and developed by Kongsberg for use in hydrographic surveys in shallow to deep waters.

This echo sounder system consists of two main components that function as transmitters, receivers, and signal converters, namely the EA440 Wide Band Transceiver (WBT) and the Simrad 38/200 Combi D transducer.

Valeport Midas CTD+

CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth) is an instrument for measuring oceanographic parameters in situ.

In addition to the 3 main sensors, Valeport MIDAS CTD+ has 5 additional sensors, namely turbidity, dissolved oxygen, pH, redox, and chlorophyll.

In addition to measuring using electronic instruments, surveys also require instruments capable of taking data samples. The samples are then further analyzed in the laboratory. For water sampling, the instrument used was a niskin bottle. While the grab sampler is used for sediment sampling.

Grab Sampler

Ponar

The Ponar grab sampler is made of stainless steel and has a rubber cover on the top. This instrument has two arms that will close automatically when hitting a hard surface. This instrument has a capacity of 5 liters.

Nishkin Bottle

KC Denmark

Niskin Bottle KC Denmark have a 5 liter capacity, the niskin bottle is made of PVC and is metal free. The cover plates at the top and bottom are made of waterproof rubber. This instrument has a volume of 5 liters.

Nortek The

Nortek The Signature500 ADCP

The Signature500 ADCP is the optimal tool for turbulence measurements with a maximum sampling frequency of 16 Hz. Vertical resolution current profiles of 2 cm over a range of up to 8 m further increase the Signature 500’s versatility, as does its ability to measure wave height and direction.

Specification

The center beam also functions as a biological echosounder, enabling high-resolution measurements of biomass in the water column.

High Performance Server

MTCRCODS HPC

The MTCRC server consists of 1 Master and 2 Slave servers, each of which has sufficient specifications for fast processing. With the number of servers that will be added over time, MTCRC servers are suitable to support research activities related to computing.

RTK GNSS

Leica GS18 T

Leica GS18 T is a tool to determine the position with the RTK GNSS method. RTK GNSS (Real-Time Kinematic Global Navigation Satellite System) is a positioning method that has the advantage of being able to get a position directly and quickly even though the equipment is moving. The Leica GS18 T features a tilt compensation so that position measurements are not affected by magnetic interference and do not require calibration.

Specification

Fixed Wing Drone

KD-2 Mapper

KD-2 Mapper is good for use in aerial mapping with long flight missions and wide coverage of the study area, equipped with GNSS so that photos taken already have position information. A multispectral camera (MicaSense RedEdge-MX) that can be used to make identification easier in mapping.

MicaSense RedEdge-MX

Specification

Drone

Drones are used in topographic surveys. The advantages of topographic surveys using drones can reduce the burden of data collection, thereby reducing survey costs.

Drone survey is the solution for generating GIS data in the difficult topography and hazardous conditions.
