Korea-Indonesia MTCRC is an intergovernmental agency supporting the Korea Ocean ODA project entitled "Smart Technological Support to Improve Aquaculture Productivity in Indonesia". The main responsible agency for this project are NIFS (National Institute of Fisheries Science) on behalf of the Ministry of Ocean and Fisheries (MOF) of the Republic of Korea and the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime & Investment Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (CMMAI), together with Hyundai Asan Co. as the conducting agency. The agenda took place at the CMMAI Building (Hybrid meeting) where project preparations were discussed, involving participation from Local Agencies. Representatives from each agency will conduct a site survey in Batam and Kei Island from 4th to 8th of August, working in cooperation with the local governments of Batam and South East Maluku. Hopefully, through this project, it'd be beneficial to Indonesia's aquaculture industry and foster stronger ties between Korea and Indonesia in the field of marine technology and research.

MTCRC collaborated with ITB to conduct "2nd Marine Equipment Training'' at MTCRC Cirebon Center. The program lasted for two full days, covering many activities, including an introduction to MTCRC Equipment, field training exercises, and data processing classes. The sessions of this course were a field survey where trainers explained marine equipment such as MBES, SBP, and CTD while using ARA Boat at Cirebon coastal area as well as get a class session where the trainers explain how to process the data. The training was officially opened by remarks from Ivonne M. Radjawane, Ph.D. (Indonesia MTCRC Director) and Dr. Agus Mochamad Ramdhan (Vice Dean of FEST ITB), while the closing remarks by Mr. Chungkyun Jeon (Head of Training and Survey Department of MTCRC and Karina Aprilia Sujatmiko, S.Si., M.T., Ph.D. from FITB. The participants were from ITB, UNDIP, UGM, IPB, KKP, and BMKG. Hopefully this agenda will clearly

Forging a new partnership with one of the prospective universities in Indonesia. Korea-Indonesia MTCRC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gadjah Mada University (UGM) at UGM Center Building, Yogyakarta. The MoU was signed by MTCRC’s Directors, Dr. PARK Hansan, Ivonne M. Radjawane, Ph.D., and Ignatius Susatyo Wijoyo, M.M. as the Vice-Rector for Research, Business Development and Cooperation as the representative of the UGM Rector. The formalization of this new partnership marks the beginning of an exciting chapter in marine science and technology, and through this cooperation agreement, both parties have agreed to strengthen and share collaboration ideas on several academic and research topics, and it is expected to make a positive contribution in marine science and technology that is advantageous for Korea-Indonesia bilateral cooperation through UGM and MTCRC.

MTCRC got an invitation from the Department of Fisheries, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), to attend the event of Forum Pimpinan Perguruan Tinggi Perikanan and Kelautan Indonesia (FP2TPKI)/ Indonesian Fisheries and Marine Science College Leadership Forum. The event was attended by both Directors Dr. PARK Hansan and Ivonne M. Radjawanne Ph.D., which was given a chance to introduce MTCRC on a wide scale where deans and heads of departments from esteemed marine and fisheries faculty universities in Indonesia convened. Integrated Capacity Building Center ODA Project was also introduced at the event delivered by Dr. PARK Hansan.

The Korea-Indonesia MTCRC was recently invited to participate in the advance training of ICP-MS provided by PerkinElmer Thailand Head Quarter as part of the training series of ICP-MS NexION 2000 from Maja Bintang Indonesia (MBI). The training was conducted by an expert trainer from PerkinElmer, Dr. Surasak Manarattanasuwan from Thailand. The training contents are mainly on the technical operation, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and detail configuration for ICP-MS best results. Through this opportunity, MTCRC researchers have gained more experience from the theoretical and hands-on instruments to acquire the best result for the analysis in the MTCRC chemical laboratory.

The Korea-Indonesia MTCRC recently organized a Keva Drone Training program at MTCRC Cirebon Center. The program was conducted by special trainers, Mr. Lee Hee Woo and Mr. Raphael Park, from Korea, and it was officially opened by Mr. Chungkyun Jeon, the Head of Training and Survey Department at MTCRC. The main objective of this training was to enhance the capacity building for researchers and staff of MTCRC. The program included sessions on flight practice to operate Keva drones and data processing using PIX4D Mapper software for mapping. Throughout the class sessions, the trainers provided explanations about aerodynamics, Keva drone compartments, and data processing. The field training session focused on operating the Keva drone and collecting data effectively. The program turned out to be a great success and will undoubtedly contribute to the capacity building of MTCRC.

The Korean Class Program held by MTCRC has been successfully implemented in 2019 and 2022. Based on the high interest of participants from the CMMAI and other stakeholders for the continuation of the Program, MTCRC reopened the Korean Class in 2023. This Class is the 4th class that has been conducted by MTCRC, and the proposed concept for this batch is a Korean Culture Class collaboration with King Sejong Institute Center (KSIC) Indonesia. The class begins with the Opening Ceremony at the CMMAI Building, 4th Floor. The participants signed up for the class are representatives from CMMAI, BRIN, and BPPSDM-KP. Hopefully, the class goes according to the plan and the material provided can be beneficial.

Korea-Indonesia MTCRC has been supported CARICOM SICA (Caribbean Community and Central American Integration System) event, namely Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation. MTCRC shared equipment introductions and activities explanations held in ITB Arjawinangun campus, Cirebon. The participants were interested with MTCRC equipment, particularly drone for coastal and marine equipment since the participants countries are close and surrounding by the Caribbean sea. Beside that, they are fascinated with numerous training and workshop, both online and offline, that had been led by MTCRC. The agenda continues with a mangrove plantation in PPN Kejawanan, Cirebon.
