Korea-Indonesia Joint Commission
The Korea-Indonesia Joint Commission is a form of commitment from both countries to strengthen cooperation in the field of marine and technology after the establishment of the Implementing Arrangement (IA) between the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea (MOF) and the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (CMMAI) of Indonesia on May 9, 2018. The Joint Commission between Korea and Indonesia has been held five times starting from 2018 and has become an annual agenda between the two countries, and this year (2023), the 6th Joint Commission was held with the purpose of continuing cooperation on marine science and Technology.
Arranging and Supporting the Visit of the Minister of Oceans Fisheries of the Republic of Korea
The Minister of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea officially visited Indonesia on 13-15 October 2021 as a return visit for the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of Indonesia to Korea in May 2021. During his visit, there several topics were discussed, including climate change, blue carbon, marine litter, and expanding the cooperation between both countries. Based on the above background, The Ministerial visit carried out by bilateral dialogue, signing the MoU on Offshore Plant Service Industry, a joint seminar on Marine Litter and Mangrove Restoration, a site visit to the Jatiluhur Dam in Purwakarta and Mangrove restoration area in Jakarta as well as visit MTCRC Cirebon center
